I think after a very stressful evening giving the boys a bath is quite relaxing. I have had so much going thru my head that sometimes I love getting lost in their play.

Wow- alot has happened this past year. We had an a wonderful road trip to Montana. Spencer's mom is a saint! We had the best time together. The boys have been the high light of everything in our lives. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, sometimes you do not know exactly why people make the decisions they do, but really one day its like AH HA that's why!

October Hank turned the big 4. He is Sponge Bob's # 1 fan. He is loves going to school and riding the bus. Brody turned 2 in November. He is such a busy boy, that kid has the most amazing laugh. I find brody in random places- dryer if left open, dog crate if left open.Spencer and I also celebrated 6 happy never a dull moment years in October.

Sadly, in October Betty's( my mother-in-law) husband died unexpectly. We were planning on celebrating Betty's recent retirement here in MN but those plans changed. My heart just aches for her.

The holidays breezed by(THANK GOODNESS). I also accepted a position at OptumHealth. It was a good move all around for us. The best Christmas in a long a time celebrating all of us together.

I am also learning a lot about myself and what my purpose is. At this time I am still in disocvery mode but I gotta tell you, I love what I am learning what my strengths and weakness's are. Thank you Robin.

MOTIVATION

I need motivation! Last summer I found that I really enjoyed running. I even competed in my first 5k race. What a great feeling! I lost the drive in the winter time. I am gearing up for the Race for the Lakes in April. That is in Brainerd, MN. I was looking at the web site www.raceforthelakes.com and there was a blizzard during the race last year. It looks miserable for a runner! There were diehards that completed it. WOW!
I need running tips! I need to know how to overcome that feeling of anxiety before I run. I need to know how to stay focused and keep pushing forward! I can do it, I know I can. Where is the motivation?
I just needed to get this off my chest before I started the day and as the boys are engrossed with BOLT.

MARCH MADDNESS

I think march is going out like confused high hormonal beast. First it snows then thunderstorms and now possibly snow? So much has happened since my last entry. Said goodbye to couple of dear family members and found a new one. Funny how life works that way. Brody has mastered textured foods since November. He loves just about everything and anything and almost no more bottle. He was true breastfed baby and loves the nipple. (sorry) He began walking at 16 months, he thinks he is pretty cool and we are very proud of our baby boy. Hank is going to school 2x a week now. He has his teacher wrapped around his little finger, he can do no wrong! Hank is doing just amazing with potty training. He likes to show off that he can go on the big potty. Today when I dropped him off at daycare, he turned to me and said ,"I am going to miss you, mommy, so much!" You bet I cried...when I got to the car. Also, we have a wonderful daycare provider, Kylee. The boys love love love her! Also Kylee's mom "Grandma Diane is a favorite of hanks. Spencer and I just cannot get enough of our boys, they are so amazing to us.
We are planning our second road trip as family. The first time we drove to Texas to visit Spencer's sister and family. They live in Keller TX which is outside of Dallas/Ft Worth. This time we are heading out west to Montana to visit Spencer's mom in Laurel, MT. That is right outside of Billings. We are planning that in the middle of July.
Spencer and I are excited to see the Twins vs Cubbies in June. We are going to be rooftop for one of the games. We are going there with 30 people for our good friend Matt Well's birthday.

Deer Hunting Weekend

I am at home alone this weekend with the boys. Spencer is deer hunting with his dad in Breezy Pointe. My toughest challenge right now is getting my 1 year old to eat any textured foods. He does alright with cottage cheese. My 3 year old was the exact same way, so I guess it is no surprise. I am hopeful that he will decide to like food like his mother :). I have some pictures to post of Hank's creative art work on the walls, thank goodness for the guys who invented washable markers!! Spencer reports getting one small buck so I will post pictures of that.

NEW TO BLOGGING

Ok so this is my first ever blog and I must say I am pretty excited! Today the boys and I are headed down to the Excel Center to watch the Deer River Volleyball Team make their debut in the first round in the State Tourney. I am so excited for them, I can just imagine how they are all feeling right now! My dilema is entertaining a 1 year old and a 3 year old, they do not share my love of volleyball and would perfer to watch spongebob and eat hotdogs! I will let you know how it goes! TG for family!
